Project Description
Children walk long distances daily to fetch water from contaminated sources. Their responsibilities are very different than those of children in the United States. Rather than attending school, the girls face wild animals and other dangers on the rugged path to get dirty water. A new well will allow children to be children again, will remove them from danger, and will help them be healthy.
Fund the Remaining Need
Solar-powered, submersible pump system technology is preferred over the traditional single-hand pump. These larger, more sophisticated systems deliver much higher yields, serve double or triple the number of people, and are easier to maintain. Pump systems provide connected water storage tanks and taps where possible. Users also adopt these pumps more readily because they are more modern and efficient, and people feel more dignified using a tap.
Amazi Water has a team dedicated to maintenance and repairs and keeps wells in working order with a remarkable average of 95% uptime.
Amazi Water is about more than “just” installing wells — the ministry is committed to spiritual and physical transformation. We employ and train local team members whose expertise rapidly develops.
