Project Description
Women and children spend large parts of their day searching for water in this community. The water they find is contaminated and causes disease.
When a well is provided girls can go back to school and women can return to productive lives, caring for their families, and earning money for the home. Men no longer have to worry for the safety of their families, and the health of the entire community improves.
Fund the Remaining Need
Solar-powered, submersible pump system technology is preferred over the traditional single-hand pump. These larger, more sophisticated systems deliver much higher yields, serve double or triple the number of people, and are easier to maintain. Pump systems provide connected water storage tanks and taps where possible. Users also adopt these pumps more readily because they are more modern and efficient, and people feel more dignified using a tap.
Amazi Water has a team dedicated to maintenance and repairs and keeps wells in working order with a remarkable average of 95% uptime.
Amazi Water is about more than “just” installing wells — the ministry is committed to spiritual and physical transformation. We employ and train local team members whose expertise rapidly develops.
